Knowledge
In 8 sessions you will earn a broad knowledge of wine.
Vineyard: soil, cultivation, harvest, diseases, climate.
Making the wine: the wine cellar, techniques, temperature, storing the wine.
Vine varieties: the most important grape varieties in the world and their qualities.
Learn to read labels: sense and nonsense on a label.
Wine regions: all the wine regions in the world
Wine-food pairing: how to make a good combination
Special wines: fortified and sparkling wines, the technique of making Champagne.
And answers to all your questions.

Sampling
50 quality-wines will be tasted and judged during the courses.
With the help of the international WSET sampling method you will develop your tasting skill.
You will be able to make a proper and clear sampling note. We are only using quality wines.

Exam
After you have followed the entire course you will be ready for the exam.
The certificate "WSET Awards in Wine level 2": is recognized globally!

During
8 evenings from 19.30 to 22.30 hrs.
Two hours of self-study every week is sufficient.

Course material
Every student will receive a course package including the textbook, exercise book, test forms, a set of 6 Spiegelau sampling glasses and a hand-out of every session. You don't have to prepare anything, all will be ready at the set.

Presentation
Every lesson is supported by a Power Point presentation.
The images will make everything even more clear.

Quality Guarantee
The Intermediate Certificate course will be provided by the “Wine and Spirit Education Trust” in London, the biggest wine educator board in the world, with over 36.000 course members per year in 55 different countries.
After completing this course you may continue with the Advanced course "Level 3".
With this you will have access to the “Diploma Course”, the highest level of wine courses around the world.
The final step is “Master of Wine”.

Small groups
De Wijnstudio teaches in small groups of maximum 15 persons, to make sure there everybody gets full attention.

Excellent results
Since the first exams in 2006 we register the exam-results.
For a couple of years on a row Wijnstudio has the best national score!
Total passed in one exam: 98%.

Tutors of De Wijnstudio
The Wijnstudio works exclusively with WSET-certified wine tutors with a long experience in providing wine lessons.
The tutors receive supplementary trainings.

Price
The price for the entire course: € 560,- including the international WSET exam.
Including studypack: studybook and exam-trainingbook, 6 Spiegelau wine glasses, a map with hand-outs of all the sessions.
De Wijnstudio is an acknowledged education institute, therefore it is free from VAT.
The exam will take place shortly after the course.
