Experience
We have owned our own catering business for 15 years with a passion for wine.
Our wine-list won 5 national awards, including twice the “Beste Wijnkaart van Nederland” (Best Wine-list of Holland)

The wine courses we have followed are Winebrevet, Vinologist Academy, Oinos wine and chemistry, Oinos soil science, Champaign – Sabrage and WSET Advanced.
Wer are official Sherry Educators for the board of Vinos de Jerez.
We are now in training for WSET Diploma Course,
which is the highest wine course in The Netherlands and Belgium.
We have also undertaken a variety of wine-trips: Elzas, Bordeaux, Champagne, Southern Rhône, Languedoc-Roussillon, Germany, Switzerland, Northern Italy, Northern Spain, etc.

Our philosophy:
Wine is there to savour and we would like to share that.
What makes it even more fun is the fact that wine cultures from all over the world will be served.

We teach according to the International WSET method. The classes are practical: clear and fun information supported by images and stories, combined with a lot of sampling according to a regular method.

Independent
De Wijnstudio works with tens of importers and is not sponsored by anyone.

Special Interests:
Jeroen Bronkhorst: my biologic-dynamic agricultural and horticultural education, working in France a number of times and a number of “vendanges” - picking grapes at small wine-farmers has inspired me me for the love of food and wines.
It was the base of teaching in viticulture and wine-making, I have spent 17 years working as a chef, in our own business as well. My greatest joy originated from that time: gastronomy, properly matching wine and food and serving groups of people.

Henriëtte Bastiaans: My education and experience in social-cultural jobs have provided the base for working with groups, trainings and informing. I also have 15 years of catering experience, from having our own business.

Favorite wines
In fact, we like a lot of wines; it would be a pitty to exclude some.
The choice of our wines depends on the moment: is it summer of winter, are we sitting outside, do we drink at dinner? We have got a couple of favourites in our cellar though: Amarone, Chianti, Brunello, Barbera and Barolo, Spätgunders from the Nahe and Rieslings from the Mosel, Pommard from Burgundy and Cos d’Estournel from Bordeaux, Australian Grange and Canadian Ice Wine.
