Vendange – French term for the harvest of wine.
Italian: Vendemmia. German: Ernten. English: Harvest.

If the label of a bottle of wine contains a year, it is always the year of harvest.
Sometimes you run into a bottle containing 2 numbers, meaning the year of harvest and the year of bottling.
