The aroma circle is a quick method of recognising fragrance and flavours. Start in the middle and find an aroma group that matches what you smell. Work from the middle circle groups to the outer circle. Cross out what it isn’t.
Do you find it difficult to recognize aroma circles?
Have faith in yourself. It’s not an exact science. If your partner smells peach in a wine while you smell apricot, you both agree: the wine contains stone fruit. That is enough to be able to recognize and judge a wine. Aromas are memories of things you know.
