The Advanced course WSET level 3 is an intensive course, coming from WSET level 2 it is a big step. And it is an even bigger step from SDEN 3 to WSET level 3. If you want to succeed, take our advice: from the beginning, maken your homework on time, and study the recommended hours.

The WSET Distance Learning Program WSET level 3 – International Wine Professional.
The international training for sommeliers, importers, merchants, bloggers, and avid wine lovers. Your English reading and writing skills should be reasonable. WSET offers this course in 75 countries, and is used to making English understandable for everyone. Grammar or spelling do not play a role in the exam either. It is sufficient that the examiner understands what you mean.
Study pack and exams
As soon as you are registered at Wijnstudio and we have received the payment, we will send you the study pack, this consists of a study book and a work book. Courses are in English, but your study pack and exam can be ordered in many languages, such as Spanish, Greek, Chinese, etc. The additional cost for a study pack and exam in any other language than Dutch or English is € 25.
The online class room
You will enter an online class with students from various countries. And you’l have your own teacher. You receive assignments, tips, questions and a quiz, everything that helps to train. At the start of the course a list of 28 recommended types of wine is given, to taste for yourself. These wines correspond to the topics in the course.
Study and homework in your own time
The course always starts on a Monday, you have the whole week to log in and hand in your homework. You will send in your homework by e-mail. Questions and experiences can be shared not only with your teacher, but also with your fellow students. At the end of your training, an exam training will be ready to take, so that you can see if you are ready for the exam and where your weak spots are.
The course price is all-in
De Wijnstudio is a recognized educational institute and exempt from VAT, so there is no more VAT on top of the course price.
Extra: Live virtual training WSET 3 SAT tasting technique
We will train on the WSET 3 SAT tasting technique with several white and red wines: how much time do you have, how do you make the right tasting note.
Exam training
The exam training takes place online. We will train on tasting: how much time do you have, how do you make the right tasting note. And we will practice on the open questions: what is being asked, how do you give a good answer.
The exam training is not a standard WSET offer, but an extra module of the Wijnstudio.
Extra: information about Diploma Course
After the training, we will explain the follow-up: Diploma Course at the Austrian Weinakademie. You will be told how Diploma Course is organised, what the program looks like, where you are going, how you are prepared. Questions are asked. And we tell you about the scholarships that are available especially for Wijnstudio students, and how you can apply.
Internationally recognized exam
The exam dates are on the website. The exam may be moved once, at the latest one month before the date. The costs for relocation are € 35,-.
